Public Liability insurance vs. Professional Indemnity insurance: What's the difference?

Public Liability insurance covers your court costs and the cost of any damages awarded if a member of the public is injured or killed as a result of your (or your employees') negligence.

Professional Indemnity insurance provides protection for your business or practice should a client or other party suffer financial loss as a result of your alleged negligent act, error or omission in a professional capacity. This insurance also covers the cost of legal defense against allegations and any damages which may be payable.
