The special amendment to the Pension legislation is not yet in force, so it is not yet possible for you to apply to access your funds.
In the meantime, here’s how you can prepare.
Are you eligible?
Do you have your identity verification documents ready?
- For the one-time withdrawal of $12,000, you must be under the age of 65 and a member of a defined contribution pension plan or local retirement product.
- For a 25% lump sum refund from your current balance, you must be 65 or older. You must have a defined contribution plan or local retirement product (defined benefit plans or annuities are not eligible)
Once the legislation is enacted, and if you are eligible to apply, you will need:
- a valid ID
- a utility bill from within the last 3 months
- a local bank account number in your name
BF&M will make the form required available on our pension portal as soon as we are permitted to process applications.
If you do not yet have a registered BF&M online account, you can call 298 0301
