John has a Bachelor’s Degree in commerce, with a major in Accounting from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. He also received a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Concordia prior to earning his Chartered Accountant designation. John also holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.

Before joining BF&M, he worked for Coopers & Lybrand (now Pricewaterhouse Coopers) in Bermuda and Ernst & Young in Canada. He is currently the President of the Bermuda Insurance Institute, a member of the Ministry of Finance’s Insurance Advisory Committee, and the chairman of the Economic Diversification Bermuda First Committee. John is the past chairman of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda.

John is Bermudian, married with two daughters. His interests include golf and reading.
